La prova di lingua e cultura italiana, solo per studenti con cittadinanza estera, si terrà dal 23 al 31 luglio 2026 da remoto (vedi eccezioni nel punto 6 della Circolare_2025-2026_studenti_internazionali.pdf).
L'esame di ammissione si svolgerà in presenza dal 31 agosto al 5 settembre 2026. Verrà pubblicato il calendario delle prove su Avvisi di segreteria nel sito istituzionale.

La prova di lingua e cultura italiana, solo per studenti con cittadinanza estera (compresi gli studenti interni), si terrà dal 23 al 31 luglio 2026 da remoto (vedi eccezioni nel punto 6 della Circolare_2025-2026_studenti_internazionali.pdf).
L'esame di ammissione si svolgerà dal 31 agosto 2026 al 5 settembre 2026. Verrà pubblicato il calendario delle prove su Avvisi di segreteria nel sito istituzionale.

COSTI ESAMI DI AMMISSIONE DI PRIMO E SECONDO LIVELLO
Per l’iscrizione all’esame di ammissione sono previsti i seguenti pagamenti da effettuare entro la scadenza prevista per l'iscrizione all'esame sul profilo Esse3 con sistema PagoPa:
-Esame d’ammissione ai Corsi di Studio di Primo Livello – € 40,13 comprensivi di tassa erariale pari a € 15,13 e del contributo fisso di € 25,00 per spese amministrative;
-Esame d’ammissione ai Corsi di Studio di Secondo Livello – € 65,13 comprensivi di tassa erariale pari a € 15,13 e del contributo fisso di € 50,00 per spese amministrative.
PORTFOLIO di I e II livello
Il portfolio è obbligatorio e deve essere redatto secondo le indicazioni della scuola per la quale ci si candida (v. allegato sotto)
CARICAMENTO DEL PORTFOLIO ESSE3
Il portfolio va caricato su esse3 durante la procedura di iscrizione all'esame di ammissione. Il file deve essere in formato pdf e non superiore alle specifiche date dalle singole scuole, in ogni caso ai 30 mb.

L' Esame di ammissione per tutti i candidati è composto dalla predisposizione di un Portfolio - da redigere secondo le indicazioni date dalle singole scuole e caricare on line al momento dell'iscrizione all'esame di ammissione - e dal colloquio motivazionale (in presenza come da calendario).
DEBITO DI LINGUA ITALIANA PER STUDENTI STRANIERI
A partire dall'a. a. 2024/2025 non è più prevista l'ammissione con debito di lingua italiana.

CHINESE CANDIDATES - TURANDOT PROJECT
Students on the Turandot programme who already obtained a visa and are applying to the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice (ABAVE) for the 2026/2027 academic year must enrol through Esse3, following the same procedure as all international students (see section below), between 18 May and 15 July 2026. They do not need to register on the Universitaly portal as they already registered during the year 2025/2026.
Rather than sitting the Italian language test - B1 level, in late July, they will take it in early August (date to be confirmed), in person, in a single session. No exemptions are allowed. Students who pass the language test will then be required to sit the entrance exam in early September (please refer to the instructions in the other sections for the admission exam).
Students on the Turandot programme who are pre-registering on Universitaly to obtain a visa and attend an Italian language course during the 2026/2027 academic year — and who intend to sit the ABAVE entrance exam for the 2027/2028 academic year, must register and upload the required documents to Universitaly by August 29, 2026:
- Original qualification
- CIMEA Comparability Statement or Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore)
- Gaokao results and Yikao (Yi Shu Kao Shi) results. The total of the marks obtained (Gao Kao + Yikao) must have an overall average of at least 400/750 or equivalent
Please note that the approval of the visa is the sole responsibility of the relevant Italian diplomatic mission in the candidate’s country of origin. The institution bears no responsibility whatsoever for the approval of student visas.
中国考生 — 图兰朵计划
已取得签证并申请进入威尼斯美术学院（ABAVE）2026/2027 学年的图兰朵计划学生，须于 2026 年 5 月 18 日至 7 月 15 日 期间，通过 Esse3 系统完成注册，流程与其他国际学生相同（请参见下方相关章节）。由于该类学生已在 2025/2026 学年完成 Universitaly 预注册，因此无需再次在 Universitaly 平台注册。
此类学生无需在 7 月下旬参加 B1 级意大利语语言测试，而须于 8 月初（具体日期待确认） 参加线下意大利语语言测试。该测试为单场考试，且不设免试。通过语言测试的学生，随后须于 9 月初 参加入学考试（入学考试相关说明请参见其他招生章节）。
计划通过 Universitaly 进行预注册以申请签证，并拟在 2026/2027 学年参加意大利语课程、之后申请参加威尼斯美术学院 2027/2028 学年 入学考试的图兰朵计划学生，须于 2026 年 8 月 29 日前 在 Universitaly 平台完成注册并上传以下所需文件：

Admission Procedure — Academic Year 2026–2027
Updated in accordance with ministerial regulations for international students
Important deadlines:
Registration for language test and admission exam (via Esse3 portal):
From May 18 to July 15, 2026 for EU and Non-EU citizens.
From May 18 to August 15, 2026 for Italian citizens or dual citizens (with Italian citizenship prevailing).
Italian language test: End of July 2026 (dates to be defined).
Admission exam: September 2026 (for all candidates).
In the attachments below you can find the requirements and procedures that each school has set out for the preparation of their portfolios ("FIRST LEVEL PORTFOLIO GUIDELINES" and "SECOND LEVEL PORTFOLIO GUIDELINES").
Below are the procedures to follow, divided by categories of candidates:
ITALIAN CITIZENS OR DUAL NATIONALS (WITH ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP)
Applicants holding Italian citizenship (including dual nationals, with Italian citizenship prevailing) must follow the standard admission procedure as set out in points 1–6 of this page.
Registration deadline: from 18 May 2026 to 15 August 2026 (via the Esse3 portal, following prior registration of personal data on the same portal).
With a qualification obtained in an EU country
Upload to Esse3:

- Diploma Supplement (mandatory). If unavailable, attach a CIMEA Verification Statement.
Entrance examination: Mandatory — September 2026.
With a qualification obtained outside the EU

EU CITIZENS (non-Italian)
Citizens of European Union member states do not require a study visa.
Registration deadline: 15 July 2026 (via the Esse3 portal), for the competition entitled "esame di ammissione alla scuola di___- Cittadinanza estera".
Registration fee: €40.13 for first-cycle programmes; €65.13 for second-cycle programmes.
Documentation for assessment of exemption from the Italian language test must be sent to didattica@accademiavenezia.it.
If no exemption applies, the Italian language test will be held online in late July 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed).

1. Registration for the competition: by 15 July 2026 (via the Esse3 portal), for the competition entitled "Entrance examination — School of ___ — Foreign Citizenship", with payment of the registration fee (€40.13 for first-cycle programmes; €65.13 for second-cycle programmes).
2. Submission of documentation: Send the required documents to didattica@accademiavenezia.it for assessment of exemption from the Italian language test. If no exemption applies, the test will be held in late July 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed).
3. Entry visa: Required. Procedure: register on the Universitaly portal and upload the documents required for the applicable category.
Exemptions to the visa request: applicants already lawfully residing in Italy or in an EU country with a valid long-term residence permit or long-stay visa.

SPECIFIC EXEMPTIONS FROM THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE TEST
The following categories of applicants are exempt from the Italian language test:
- Four- or five-year secondary school diplomas obtained at Italian state or accredited schools abroad
- Secondary school leaving qualifications listed in Annex 2 of the Ministerial Circular Allegato 2 rev20-21_revFC 1-1
- holders of certificates supplementing the final secondary school qualification obtained in Argentina, which attest to attendance at a course of study including at least five years’ instruction in the Italian language, in accordance with Law No 210 of 7 June 1999 (Official Gazette No 152 of 1 July 1999);
- Diploma in Italian Language and Culture awarded by the Università per Stranieri of Perugia or Siena
- Applicants holding a CLIQ certification (Certificazione Lingua Italiana di Qualità) at level C1 or above

Important Deadlines
Visa application for standard courses (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Academic Diploma): November 30, 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027.
Completion of the enrollment to the institution: By January 31, 2027 (for a.y. 2026-2027). Warning: If not completed by this date, the visa will be revoked.

Students with International Protection
Institutions can evaluate qualifications even without complete documentation (thanks to the Lisbon Convention and the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees - EQPR).

Important Warnings
Visa revocation: If the student does not enroll by January 31, 2027, the visa will be automatically revoked and reported to the Questura.
